Booking the best rental home experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- First and foremost, have your family choose trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. An Endless Summer Getaway has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
During your stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
