Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Selecting the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose vacation week and max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. BRAND NEW! Beach Bungalow-Short walk to the Beach in Oceanside Village has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
