The search for your next vacation rental ends here! Check out this 8th floor, newly refreshed ocean-view vacation rental at the Sea Mist Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. This ocean view condo is completely furnished with everything you need for your next vacation. This apartment features 1 king bed, 1 twin size sleeper couch, and will comfortably accommodate 3 guests. The unit is also furnished with a dresser, TV with basic cable, AC and Heat, mini kitchen, private bathroom with tub/shower and vanity, as well as a private ocean view balcony. This is a ideal rental for a couple, a group of friends, or a modest family! Located on the 8th floor of the Driftwood Building, the view from the balcony is elegant, and many of our guests have spotted dolphins and beautiful sunsets!
As of 2024, this unit has been updated and we could not be more excited to share with you! For starters, new floor was installed throughout the entire unit. A majority of the furnishings in the unit was refinished, giving the unit a fresh look! A new table was also added.
This rental features some unique updates that many others simply do not have. This condo offers a full kitchen, and our guests appreciate the upsized countertop space, as well as the additional cabinets for storage. This unit really feels like a home away from home!
The kitchen is entirely outfitted with basic cookware, silverware, dishes and cups, and everything you'll need to prepare! Guests will have access to a full-size refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, kitchen sink, and more. For guests who prefer to dine out, Myrtle Beach has hundreds of exceptional dining options within a short drive or Uber. Uber Eats, DoorDash, and other food delivery services are very trendy in this area.
Be sure to pack light! All towels, toiletries, linens, and linens are included. We also provide starter amenities such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, shampoo, lotion, and conditioner for each reservation. We also provide 8 towels and 8 washcloths per bathroom.
While the Sea Mist is a 65-year-old complex, we have gone above and beyond to ensure that this unit is FAR from the average booking experience at a hotel. Past guests really appreciate the space, and we appreciate the fact that they treat it as if it were their own.
Sea Mist also offers many indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzis, a sauna, a restaurant, a giant arcade, and even more amenities for you and your family to savor before calming in this handsome unit. (Please note that the mini waterpark across street, all water amenities, and movie theater are not available to our guests.)
The departure cleaning fee is in place to compensate the cleaner, the cost of toiletries, and the laundering of the towels, linens, and linens. We really want to make your experience with us as economical as possible! Unlike many properties managed by other companies and homeowners, we can accommodate daily housekeeping and mid-stay cleaning requests for a modest fee.
While we do our absolute best to ensure that all of our condos are cleaned, prepared, and comfortable for all of our guests, we do want to note that this resort is over 60 years old. Our prices reflect the age of the resort, décor, and condition of the amenities. We encourage all of our guests to do their own due diligence on the resorts and the area on all of our listings!
Free Wi-Fi is available.
Smoking AND Vaping are not allowed.
Our guests currently have access to the outdoor pool located on the south side of the Oats Building. Pool hours are subject to change. Weather and season could also result in pool closures.

Getting the best vacation home experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the largest rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the perfect rental:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Newly Updated Oceanview King Suite - Sea Mist 50809 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Additional considerations:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
