Our top Rental home booking tips:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Booking in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 11th Floor Suite with Incredible Views! Sea Mist Resort 51106 - 2 Double Beds - Full Kitchen! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If not, contact the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
