Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to book & When to go:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Narrow your Search:
- Start by having your family select trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Ocean Bliss - Oceanfront 1bd\/1ba Condo -11205 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
