Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

How to select the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • First, have your group choose a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Quiet Oceanfront Studio Sleeps 4 Jade Tree Cove Resort has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
