Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Finding the perfect rental home:
- Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Ocean Breeze Retreat NEW Freshly Remodeled has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before booking the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is optimal for your vacation.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
- At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
