How to find the best vacation property experience:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean Breeze Retreat. Oceanfront. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
