Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
How to pick the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Ocean Creek 2244 Renovated 2Br\/2Ba Resort View has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation family.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or applied to your invoice.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
