Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
Cost saving strategies:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Stunning 1 Bedroom Condo-Breathtaking Oceanfront Views-Meridian 602 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Tips for your stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
