Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Filter your search:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful Ocean View Suite w\/ Balcony + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is right for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
