How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best value:
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the most suitable rental within your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Choosing and booking yourvacation home:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Ocean Forest Plaza 1101 - Oceanview! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
