Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- Booking in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your Search:
- To start, have your group choose trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Recently renovated 2br W\/WiFi, Lazy River, Gym, Jacuzzi@mb Resort- 148B has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
