Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to choose the perfect vacation home:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 803 Brighton - ocean view condo with access to all amenities! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
