Booking the best vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Choosing and booking the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- First, have your family agree to trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Ocean Lakes - Site 1709 Spacious 5BR\/4.5BA on Stilts! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
