Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath- sleeps 7 -Ocean Lakes Campground- WIFI- Pet Friendly has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation property. - If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- During arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
