Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • To find the best rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the bestvacation home:

  • First, have your group decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean Lakes Site 1477 3\/2 on stilts close to the ocean has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
