Rental booking tips:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- To get the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
Choosing and booking a perfectvacation home:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Ocean Oasis! Spacious, newly remodeled condo, with great Ocean Views! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
- At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
