Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the best rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your search:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. First Floor Unit 1,350 Sq Ft with No Step has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is suitable for your trip.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
