Tips to get the best vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking a perfectrental:
- First, have your family agree to date ranges and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. OCEAN VIEW - 7th Floor Landmark Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, call the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Advice for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
