Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Filter your rental search:

- Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Have a great stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
