Our top Rental booking tips:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • First and foremost, have your family select a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Fully Renovated King Suite! Perfect For 2 Guests! Private Balcony has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
