Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Finding your best deal:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- To find the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to select the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your group select vacation dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Ocean View Queen Suite Landmark Resort 1125 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More tips for your stay:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- At Check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
