Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oceanfront - Gourmet Kitchen! Farmhouse Decor! Gorgeous View! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, reach out to the host before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your trip.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Have a great stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
