Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- To start, have your family commit to the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Oceanfront 14th floor 3BR @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
