Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Ocean Lakes - Site 1346 3BR\/2.5BA Lakefront Living at the Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

During your stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
