Strategies to get the optimal rental experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the most suitable rental home within budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Filter your search:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 1Bedroom Suite Sleeps 4 Holiday Pavilion Condominium Tower 311 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is right for your group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
