Finding the best rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. OCEANFRONT CONDO with amazing views!! Great location! 2bedroom condo, Sleeps 8. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
Tips to have a great stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
