Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking the perfectrental:
- Choose your vacation week and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 3 Br\/2 Ba Designer Decorated, Largest Floor Plan has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
During your stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Call the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
