How to get the best rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the best vacation rental:
- Start by having your family commit to date ranges and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 6th Floor- A Must See Remodel 2021! Farmhouse Decor + Beach Locker! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
