Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Finding the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront 6th floor studio @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your family.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
