Tips to get the best rental home experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To find the best value, consider changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Tranquil 1BrSuite Oceanfront Retreat has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If not, call the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
