Getting the best vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick the rightvacation home:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Unforgettable Oceanfront Suite for You has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you crave, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
