Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental:

  • Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Unforgettable Oceanfront Suite for You has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If not, contact the host before booking your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
