How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Start by having your family choose trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront condo with amazing pools, hot tub, lazy river, & fitness room has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If not, call the host before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is optimal for your vacation group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More considerations for your visit:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
