Rental property booking tips:
How to get the best rental value:
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- To book the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and choose a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Oceanfront Luxury Four Bedroom Condo 6th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
Know before you go:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
