How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your rental property in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your Search:
- Choose dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront washer dryer incredible views full kitchen oceanfront pool has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
