Our top Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanview 1 BR Condo close to Dues Golf Course! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is right for your trip.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
