Finding the best rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Planning and picking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select your vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. One minute drive to beach with golfcart! Updated, beach decor & clean! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your trip.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Does your family require special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
