How to get the best vacation home experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the best vacation rental:
- Start by having your family agree to trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Paramount Plus\/Oceanfront\/Best Location has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
