Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have coupons for local tours and attractions.

Choosing and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • First, have your family decide on a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Coastal Serenity Spacious Suite 4th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
