Tricks and tips to get the very best rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. A431 at the Myrtle Beach Resort: Perfect Beach Escape has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is right for your group.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
