Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick a perfectrental:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Perfect Beach Escape- A431 at the Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
