Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose vacation week and max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanview pet friendly pool and spa wonderful has 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
