Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to select the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by having your group commit to vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 309,Clean Beautiful 6BR, 3 bath, Slps14,Ocean & Lake View, W\/ WiFi has 7 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
