Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • To find the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • First and foremost, have your family select vacation dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Magnolia Lake Scenic Lakeside Unit 202 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Additional considerations:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
