Tricks and tips to get the best vacation rental experience:
Finding your best deal:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.
Planning and choosing yourrental home:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Magnolia Lake Scenic Lakeside Unit 202 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Call the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
