Strategies to get the perfect vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning and choosing your prefectrental:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Premier-2BR\/2BA-Southern View-High End Remodel-Lavish Kitchen & Baths + Locker! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is suitable for your trip.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
