Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning and choosing a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Prime 1Br Oceanview Suite\/ 2 Balconies! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation family.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
