Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Pristine Oceanfront Myrtle Beach 2 Bedroom Condo Free WiFi and Parking has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property owner before booking your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your agreement.
Additional considerations:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- During check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
