Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. New! This property has flexible booking and all summer rates are discounted! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More tips for your visit:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
