Myrtle Beach vacation rental tips and tricks:
Cost saving strategies:
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- To start, have your family agree to trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. New! This property has flexible booking and all summer rates are discounted! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More tips for your visit:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
