How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose your dates and spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Pristine Oceanfront Oasis With Breathtaking Views- Camelot 1614 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If they are not listed, contact the host before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Call the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
