Tips to get the best vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Marriott Ocean Watch Villas offer a little slice of paradise in Myrtle Beach! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More tips for your visit:
- Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
- Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
